Le Pain Grillé is the name of Agnès B.’s café-restaurants in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
They are, in fact, places that combine the concept of café, bistro and patisserie, allowing customers to treat themselves to a little slice of Paris by sampling French specialities on the Asian continent.
Today, French toast is imported to Paris! In the Agnès B boutique in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, you can discover “Le Pain Grillé”, Agnès B’s first Parisian tea room.
Located on the first floor of the women’s boutique at 6 rue du Jour, it is designed to resemble the refectory of a convent, with a friendly atmosphere. What’s more, customers can catch a glimpse of the shadow of the church of Saint-Eustache while admiring works from a photography exhibition.
In the busy Les Halles district, Le Pain Grillé is a quiet place with a unique charm, ideal for a pleasant break alone or with friends.
Agnès B offers a simple menu based on local, seasonal produce, and has carefully chosen her suppliers from among the best food artisans in the area: fruit and vegetables from Terroirs d’avenir, salmon, foie gras and ham from Comptoir de la Gastronomie…
It’s also a neighbourhood very dear to Agnès B’s heart, where she opened her very first shop in 1975.
Agnès B:
“Le Pain Grillé is a place that feels like home. It’s a simple menu, made with local, seasonal produce. It’s a place that I simply love!”
