中国非遗谱写时尚新篇章
Recently, an exceptional exhibition titled « Reviving Craft » focused on China’s intangible cultural heritage and contemporary design. The exhibition took place at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, France. It showcased various non-heritage skills such as Jinjiang woodblock prints, palm puppets, Quanzhou string puppets, and bead embroidery. Additionally, well-known brands like K-Boxing, KELME Sports, Santic Sport, and Seven made stunning appearances, attracting significant attention.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France, as well as the Year of China-France Cultural Tourism. The exhibition, inspired by the concept of the five elements (gold, wood, water, fire, and earth), focuses on Chinese non-heritage techniques and contemporary innovations in fields such as filigree mosaic, woodwork and bamboo weaving, tea-making, wine-making, ceramics, and textile embroidery. The exhibition has been included in the framework of the 2024 China-France Year of Culture and Tourism by the Bureau of International Exchanges and Cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and has become an official project of the Year of Culture and Tourism.
近日,一场聚焦中国非遗与当代设计的超级展览 : “新生万物—中国非遗与当代设计展”在法国巴黎装饰艺术博物馆精彩上演。晋江木版年画、掌中木偶,泉州提线木偶、珠绣等非遗技艺,劲霸男装、柒牌男装、森地客、卡尔美等知名品牌在展会上惊艳亮相,吸引众多国际友人关注。
今年,是中法建交60周年,也是中法文化旅游年。本次展览以金、木、水、火、土五行概念为线索,聚焦花丝镶嵌、木作竹编、制茶、酿酒、陶瓷、纺织刺绣等中国非遗技艺和当代创新作品。目前,展览已被文化和旅游部国际交流与合作局纳入2024中法文化旅游年框架,成为文旅年官方项目。

Why does Jinjiang Industry Group join hands with brand enterprises to go international?
Jinjiang, located on the southeast coast of Fujian Province, has long been a hub of commerce and culture, where Central Plains culture, Min-Yue culture, and maritime culture have intertwined, influencing a number of world-renowned intangible cultural heritage sites. During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, Jinjiang became one of the important starting points of the Maritime Silk Road due to its unique geographical location and developed maritime culture. This led to a significant number of Fujian merchants venturing overseas, and the label « Made in Jinjiang » gradually gained recognition abroad.
Since the reform and opening up period, Jinjiang has become a prominent model for the development of county economies. The town is renowned for various industries, including small appliances, shoes and clothing, and large-scale energy production. Notably, the textile industry has experienced more than 40 years of development, gradually establishing a complete textile and garment industry chain encompassing fibers, yarns, weaving, dyeing and finishing, and finished products. This has given rise to industrial clusters with a combined output value of over 100 billion dollars, and has fostered the growth of numerous well-known brands such as Anta, K-Boxing, KELME Sports, Santic Sport, and Seven in the footwear and apparel sectors.
Jinjiang Industrial Group is committed to facilitating the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries in Jinjiang, and actively undertakes the demonstration work of Fujian Province’s textile industry to enhance the quality and efficiency of foreign trade. How will this exhibition promote the high-quality development of Jinjiang’s textile industry?
This time, the Fujian Jinjiang Industrial Group has brought several brands to Paris to breathe new life into Jinjiang’s €300 billion-plus textile industry cluster by adopting an international perspective and promoting high-quality development of the industry. At the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in the west of the Louvre in Paris, Jinjiang brands showcase their unique urban style and exquisite craftsmanship. The aim is to encourage international exchanges and mutual understanding.
At the same time, we hope to have the opportunity to conclude cooperation agreements with the French fashion industry, introduce fashion concepts and advanced production technologies to Jinjiang, so as to enhance the added value of products.
