A Tribute to

a Thousand-Year-Old Chinese Craftsmanship

Tangy 5

Wang Liwen shared her admiration for Liang Zi, the founder of TANGY: « Thirty years ago, she rediscovered an ancient craftsmanship and dedicated herself to fashion, applying for national intangible cultural heritage registration in 2008. Thanks to her concept of sustainable fashion and ecological commitment, she has achieved excellent results both in China and abroad. Her creations combine simplicity and elegance, integrating Chinese characteristics into an international style. We have full confidence in TANGY and look forward to its promising future! »

In her speech, Wang Yin praised Liang’s cultural value through her creations: « Although we come from different countries, we all share an appreciation for beauty. Liang Zi uses her own method to convey Chinese aesthetics and lifestyle while promoting the Chinese concept of harmony between man and nature. She is truly a cultural ambassador, and we are grateful for her ongoing efforts to disseminate our culture. »

Tangy 7

Wang Ying also spoke: « I met Ms. Liang Zi at a conference on Gambiered Silk at the embassy, and I discovered how this fabric incorporates Chinese culture while being environmentally friendly. Liang Zi brilliantly combines China’s intangible cultural heritage with Parisian fashion, showcasing our culture in the fashion capital of the world. »

Tangy 12

Ji Bo, director of Europe at Changjia Business School, enthusiastically stated: « Many brands talk about sustainable fashion today, but few truly implement it from A to Z like TANGY. The production of their chambray garments requires hard work, and they use the most primitive materials and non-polluting dyes. I discovered Liang Zi’s brand as a true treasure and invited her to present her company in our Cheung Kong Business School class. Our Chinese entrepreneurs were deeply touched by her commitment, and many Western entrepreneurs were also inspired by her sharing and began to invest in sustainable fashion. »

Tangy 8

Véronique Delignette also shared her perspective: « TANGY was created from a particular silk that was once used by emperors. Today, it offers garments that resemble it, with a very unique style. Besides her talent as a designer, she also possesses real skills in modeling, allowing her to shape her fabrics and highlight all body types. This is an authentic quest for a pure soul seeking tradition, dedicating her life to this art. I find it simply remarkable. »

During the event, passionate clients had the opportunity to model pieces from the TANGY collection, showcasing the elegance and creativity of the designs. Each model managed to capture the essence of the brand, blending tradition and modernity.

Tangy 2

Yang Lining, a talented guqin artist, then performed the famous piece « Mountain Heights and Flowing Waters, » captivating the audience with the melodious sounds of her instrument.

Tangy 9

This enchanting performance allowed each guest to immerse themselves in a timeless and profound artistic atmosphere, enriching the experience of this unique celebration. The guests were transported by the beauty of the music, creating a memorable moment that celebrated both art and fashion.

TANGY and Its Space in Paris

Since its founding in 1994, the TANGY Collection, under Liang Zi’s leadership, has always adhered to the philosophy of « the unity of heaven and humanity. »

A pioneer in the rediscovery of Gambiered Silk, Liang Zi has managed to design and revitalize this material, which has been recognized as intangible cultural heritage.

Tangy 11

Over the past 30 years, Liang Zi has put into practice the concept of sustainable fashion, creating designs that highlight the natural, ecological, lightweight, and comfortable characteristics of her creations. Her space in Paris, known as Maison TANGY Collection, is a true showcase of this innovative approach, led by Huang Xiao.

In this space, TANGY offers garments that combine elegance and environmental respect while celebrating Chinese cultural heritage. The brand continues to inspire and attract an international audience, thus consolidating its place in the world of eco-responsible fashion.
