India stands at the second place in the production of bamboo resources. Its north-eastern states are the home of 58 bamboo species and is a major contributor of around 65% to the industry.

Moreover, the increasing demand for natural fibres in the textile industry. Bamboo fibres captured the market. Bamboo fibre is also suitable for long-lasting home textiles, and it is more environment friendly compared to cotton or any synthetic fibre alternatives.
