Maison&Objet Live : Trend

For the January 2025 edition, Maison&Objet is celebrating a new surrealism, combining fantasy and poetry to create imaginary worlds.

These alternative realities, often quirky and surprising, offer an enchanted interlude in a complex world. The unusual objects and spellbinding stagings encourage us to let go and explore our imaginations.

The show features inspiring displays of cutting-edge aesthetics and functionality, while decoding the latest trends. This immersive experience promises to awaken the senses and inspire new perspectives in design and interior design.

In Decor by Elizabeth Leriche

Maison Objet 2025 3

Through a selection of new products from exhibitors, Elizabeth Leriche invites us to explore the colours and materials that will shape the aesthetics of tomorrow’s interiors.

In a large labyrinth on the floor symbolising the unconscious, she has created an immersive, dreamlike journey that disconnects visitors from reality and aims to fill them with wonder. This journey includes a cabinet and a salon of curiosities, as well as a dream room that underlines the importance of the imaginary.

Visitors will have the opportunity to discover games of scale and proportion, a hypnotic corridor, and a selection of styles and novelties. This space is intended to be a veritable compass to guide interior designers, buyers and creators in their choices, guiding them towards innovative and captivating inspirations.

In Hospitality by Uchronia –

Julien Sebban

Maison Objet 2025 6

In Hospitality, and this time Julien Sebban has been given carte blanche to rethink the space, bringing a fresh perspective to the hospitality sector. The architect and designer has created the Hotel Uchronia, a surreal immersion in a unique hotel.

Julien Sebban plunges us into the world of the weird and wonderful, paying homage to surrealism through this conceptual hotel. The space is divided into three main parts. Each offers an immersive, offbeat experience, blending art and functionality in a setting that defies convention.

Maison Objet 2025 8

The Master-Bedroom, a space between dream and metamorphosis, where dreams take over from reality. The Café-Bar, where day becomes night, and the rules of scale and proportion are turned upside down.

A sports hall and a garden, embodying a fantasy in motion, where energy and poetry come together in a space dedicated to sport and nature. This universe transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary, where every detail tells a story in the spirit of surrealism.

N RETAIL – François Delclaux

Maison Objet 2025 9

Designed as a concept store, IN RETAIL offers a space conceived by François Delclaux. Firstly, it presents a curation of products sourced from the show’s exhibitors, organised into four themes: Curiosity Cabinet, Daydreams & Pleasure, Illusions, and Natureculture.

Inspired by Sur/Reality, these products all have in common a hyperbole of reality, a singularity, even an extravagance, whether in terms of shapes, materials, colours or uses.

These are ultra-freestyle creations, combining surprise and poetry, to re-enchant our daily lives and astonish, again and again. Three animated showcases echo the show’s thematic itineraries, including Sustainable, Museums and French Made.

Curatio :  Thomas Haarmann

Maison Objet 2025 12

Art director, designer and interior architect Thomas Haarmann has a penchant for unexpected combinations. A carefully disassorted mix where crystal rubs shoulders with raw concrete, where modern meets retro…

Maison Objet 2025 13

For the new « Curatio » space, he has meticulously selected and presented the unique creations of some fifteen exceptional brands and designers: a design collection offering real added value for high-end decoration projects.

Maison&Objet :

An Unmissable Platform

Revealing talent, offering opportunities for exchange and inspiration, and facilitating the development of businesses, Maison&Objet is an essential international platform for decoration, design and the art of living. Mélanie Leroy, Managing Director of SAFI, expressed her enthusiasm for this first edition of 2025:

Maison Objet 2025 22

At the heart of our approach is the desire to be surprising, disruptive and daring, while at the same time giving customers a new experience. That’s why we’ve innovated with new events, including Slow Fashion, which presents fashion in a dynamic way through physical and digital window displays. We’ve also brought in Artcare to work on an AI mannequin concept, which is extremely interesting.

Maison&Objet is a talent spotlight. For 30 years, we’ve been running programmes like Rising Talents, which this year are devoted to Korea. For us, it’s important to be able to really reveal the avant-garde and the future of design in different countries, which are very prolific in terms of creativity and innovation.

As an observatory of the French and international scene, that’s what we want to show at each edition. This approach allows us to highlight emerging trends and celebrate creative talent on a global scale.
