The « REVIVING CRAFT: MÉTIERS D’ART ET DESIGN CONTEMPORAIN DE LA CHINE » exhibition concluded successfully on July 19th at the Musée des Arts décoratifs in Paris.
This collaborative exhibition between Sunshine Media Group, the China National Brand Network, Yang Lan (President of Sunshine Media Group), and Sudan (Deputy Director of the Museum of Arts and Crafts of China) lasted for two weeks and showcased China’s intangible cultural heritage on the international stage.

Bringing together over 20 participating brands and institutions, 40 exceptional artists and designers, and more than 100 innovative works, the exhibition highlighted various Chinese intangible cultural heritage skills including filigree inlay, wood and bamboo weaving, tea-making, winemaking, ceramics, textile embroidery, and more. These skills were presented to the world, showcasing the endless charm of China’s intangible cultural heritage.

The Chinese Ambassador to France, Mr. Lu Shaye, expressed admiration for these works, emphasizing their beauty and the innovative integration of traditional techniques with contemporary elements.
The exhibition received praise from numerous visitors and notable individuals. Sylvie Corréard, Director of the Musée des Arts décoratifs, emphasized the significance of the event, allowing the Parisian public to deeply explore Chinese culture.
Mr. Philippe Duste Bratz also highlighted the importance of the exhibition, noting that it preserves the essence of traditional culture while incorporating elements of modern aesthetics, paving the way for the heritage and development of intangible cultural skills.

After visiting the exhibition, former Prime Minister of France, Mr. Dominique de Villepin, expressed his enthusiasm and stressed the importance of preserving cultural heritage. He highlighted that the exhibition showcased the living nature of this heritage and its integral role in the lives of the Chinese people.
Sophie Marceau, renowned French actress, emphasized the exhibition’s role in promoting cultural exchange between Chinese and French cultures.
