China Brand Show x Première Vision
China, the world’s largest producer of manufactured goods, no longer wants to be seen simply as a manufacturing centre; it wants to become a laboratory for innovation.
The new Chinese consumer is young, urban and optimistic. They embrace fashion as a means of expressing their individuality. The Chinese are developig their own sense of style, an emotional connection to clothing. The new fashion aesthetic combines Western and Chinese styles.
This evolution in fashion and the economic landscape requires Chinese companies to focus on distinctive, quality products. More and more Chinese companies are developing their own brands. The credo is now clearly to move from “made in China” to “created in China”…
The Trade Development office of the Ministry of Commerce is a national foreign trade promotion organisation set up by the Chinese government, which has committed itself in recent years to building a platform for promoting Chinese brands abroad.
Since 2014, the office has organised activities in more than ten countries, including the United States, Japan, Singapore, Hungary, Lithuania, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.
Activities include company and product promotion support, brand presentations as well as business matchmaking fairs. This platform also enables Chinese brands to promote themselves and gain exposure abroad.
Première Vision in France is one of the world’s leading textile industry trade fairs, the gathering place for major brands in the textile industry.

The Trade Development office of the Ministry of Commerce organised the China Brand Shows in Paris to explore new trends in Made in China and present Chinese textile brands.
The event featured a conference and B2B meetings. A conference on the theme: Made in China, a new era was organised. Experts, journalists and representatives of Chinese society were on hand to explain this new ‘Made in China’ trend. The B2B Match-making event invited brands and wholesalers from France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and other countries to take part.
Through conferences and meetings, the Chine Brand event also promotes meetings and partnerships between high-quality Chinese companies and French and European partners. Gilles Lasbordes, Director of the Première Vision show, said on 24 September: “The Sourcing Connection is a recent addition to the Première Vision Paris universe, enabling us to offer a complete sourcing service and to support fashion brands in their search for long-distance manufacturing suppliers.
With The Sourcing Connection, Première Vision has invented a unique solution that consists of selecting companies and then having them audited on the compliance criteria sought by brands.
